Collections Driver and Crusher Operator Position

$18 - $20 per hour

Tuesdays - Fridays, 9am - 5pm

Responsibilities:

This work involves navigating routes, collecting totes, and upon returning to the facility emptying and unloading all glass recycling from the truck by color and pulling the bottles to be up-cycled from the crushing stream. The role includes loading the glass recycling into the crusher and bagging the material that comes out of the output on the sifting machine. The operator is responsible for keeping the glass crushing area clean, sorted, and organized, including the glass sorting steam area and the bagged raw materials.

Operator uses an automatic-transmission company truck and iPad or iPhone to navigate routes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Ability to use Google Suite. 

Ability to work with databases and software. 

Excellent customer service and communication.

Ability to problem solve, work independently, and with a

team.

Flexible to be on call for other drivers and problem solve as

required.

Ability to use an iPhone or iPad for customer check-ins while

on route driving.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working

relationships with the public and team members.

Flexible and organized.

Physical Requirements/Special Requirements: 

Must be able to physically perform the basic functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, feeling, and hearing.

Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 60 pounds continuously and frequently.

Ability to work outside.

Ability to work around equipment and industrial production.

Ability to obtain certifications with BAGR’s facilitation, such

as Fork-Lift and heavy equipment certifications.

Ability to wear the required PPE: such as work gloves, coveralls, steels toed boots, respirators, face masks, face shields, hard hats, safety vests, back supports for heavy lifting, safety glasses, etc.

Minimum Training and Experience:

Route driving experience. (1 year preferred)

Routific or similar route mapping software: 1 year (Preferred)

Customer service: 2 year (Preferred)

Living in or around Santa Fe/Española area is highly

preferred.

Demonstrates punctuality, good communication skills, a

positive attitude, and commitment to the team and company

as a whole.

Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license and safe

driving history, including no DUI’s.

Written and numerical literacy is required

Experience in driving in the snow

Experience around industrial equipment or ability to learn

how to work with industrial equipment. 1 year (Preferred)

Familiarity/appreciation for the environment and

sustainability required.

Manufacturing experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Google Suite or Word, Excel, and email: 1 year (Required)

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
